2018 Meeting

Our 2018 meeting is October 24 - 26 on the campus of Case Western University in Cleveland. For the first time in MWCAD history, we are sponsoring several free satellite meetings, where the Platinum-Plus vendors have more than three hours to discuss some of their latest products and services. These sessons occur both during the morning of Oct 24 (before the facility tours and during registration for the meeting) and in the afternoon of Oct 26 (after the last Keynote talk and our MWACD business meeting).

As you can see in our program schedule, we are also introducing learning levels for everyone: 101 sessions for beginners and 201 level sessions for experts. Our goal is to educate everyone about the various types of technologies that exist within core facilities and how the intersectionality between these disciplines can help to progress research discoveries - including technology.

Program Schedule

You can see and download a copy of the schedule here.

Registration has now closed.

Also, you will need to reserve your hotel room before September 19 to receive the block rates listed below.

There is also limited space to sign up for a unique peek at the Microsoft HoloLens Facility at Case Western! Only 20 people will be able to see this unique 'lens' into medical education using holographic technology. A brief video sponsored by CBS can be found here.

classic auto from the Crawford AUto-Aviation Museum

The opening night reception will take place at the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum of the Western Reserve Historical Society. The museum follows the development of the automobile on both the national and regional levels (and the Cleveland area was a hotbed of development in the earliest days of the automobile). We will have access to the museum for several hours on the first night of the meeting (Oct 24) and will have food and drinks available while you wander the museum, meeting both old and new friends.

Satellite Meetings - Pre- & Post-Meeting

New this year, we are including the opportunity to attend both pre- and post-meeting Satellite Workshops thanks in large part to the support of our Platinum-Plus Sponsors, FEI/ThermoFisher and Illumina! These meetings are free to everyone who attends the MWACD meeting.
